REPORTING TO PULLMAN - contact Brittany Thackery
If you choose to participate in the summer program/class(es) discuss your report date with Brittany Thackery. Please contact Brittany Thackery by April 12th to discuss your participation in Summer classes and travel arrangements PRIOR to making any arrangements.
The Summer Program is completed on Friday, July 26th and you will report for the preseason training camp early that next week (exact date to be determined). Plan to bring all items needed to live in the dorms until May 2020.
GOVERNMENT ISSUED FORM OF IDENTIFICATION - May 1st
Before traveling to Pullman, you are required to possess a government issued identification that meets TSA (Transportation Safety Administration) and REAL ID (Homeland Security) requirements for airline travel.

If your state is COMPLIANT we recommend you obtain a state issued photo identifications from your state's department of licensing, such as a driver's license or photo ID.
If your state is utilizing an EXTENSION we recommend you obtain a passport issued by the U.S. State Department: Apply or Renew a Passport
DEADLINES/CALENDAR
January 31, 2019 - Priority deadline for submission of FAFSA.
February 19, 2019 - Begin 16 week Strength & Conditioning Program - links are provided below.
March 2, 2019 - Must have admissions application submitted AND WSU issued email address established.
March 2, 2019 - Submit immunization records to Brittany
March 2, 2019 - Transcripts with work in progress submitted to Brittany and the Eligibility Center.
March 2, 2019 - Request filed with your school's counselor to have your final official transcripts with graduation posted sent to Brittany and Eligibility Center.
March 2, 2019 - Return Equipment and Shoe Order forms to Brittany Thackery.
March 5, 2019 - You and your parents have decided if you will participate in Summer classes.
April 1, 2019 - Request final Amateurism Certification from the Eligibility Center if you haven't attended another 4 year university/college.
April 14, 2019 - Discuss travel options to Pullman, if participating in the Summer classes.
May 1, 2019 - Obtain a government issued form of photo identification to travel on airlines
May 10, 2019 - Athletic Training Services forms completed and on file at WSU.
June 10, 2019 - Have established your bank account and direct deposit.
July 26, 2019 - Summer classes and final exam are completed.
Early August - Preseason football training camp begins in Pullman, report by 12pm.
August 19, 2019 - Fall semester classes begin.

SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL AID FROM A NON WSU SOURCE/ENTITY
There are very specific guidelines set by the NCAA regarding “outside” scholarships/aid and how they are reported. If you have been notified that you are the recipient of ANY kind of outside or non WSU scholarship, it is essential that you report it to the Athletic Financial Aid Staff immediately. Failure to report an outside scholarship could jeopardize your NCAA Eligibility. Please complete this questionnaire and return to Melissa Christensen.

Confirm with the Eligibility Center that you are requesting enrollment for the Fall 2019 semester. Submit your current official transcript to the Eligibility Center.
Make sure you have designated with the testing center (ACT or SAT) that your test score be sent directly to the NCAA Eligibility Center.

NCAA AMATEURISM CERTIFICATION - April 1, 2019
Confirm that you are requesting enrollment for the Fall 2019 semester. As part of the registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center you will be asked to certify your “amateur status” as a college student-athlete. Please answer these questions immediately and request that the NCAA Eligibility Center do a “final certification” of your “status”. Our office will receive updates as you complete this process.

SUMMER PROGRAM
You will get a chance to take courses and become acclimated to campus before you take a full slate of credit hours. You are required to enroll in classes and you will receive academic tutoring through our Athletic Support Services. You can also participate in voluntary workouts.
In order to participate in the Summer Program you must be:
1. Admitted to Washington State University
2. Create your WSU network ID and password
3. Determine your living arrangements
4. Provide immunization records
5. Register for Session 4 of the summer Alive! orientation
6. Take the online Math Placement Exam, if necessary
7. Establish a bank account

In order to participate in the Alive! Orientation:
Be admitted for the Fall 2019 semester
Pay the $200 Advance Tuition Deposit
Pay the $240 Student Matriculation Fee

1) IF YOU LIVE IN A DORMITORY:
Football student-athletes can be housed in the Northside Residence.
Once you are admitted you will be sent information and link to the online housing and dining contract. For more information on policies and a contract sample please see:

On your housing contract select the RDA 1 level meal plan.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to pay the $150 refundable deposit in order to complete the contract for dormitory or University owned apartments. This refundable deposit will be returned at the end of the academic year if there is no damage to the room.

DINING OR RESIDENCE DINING ACCOUNT (RDA)

Select Level 1 RDA plan for fall semester if participating in the CATT dinner meal. We recommend starting at Level 1 and increase the Level if necessary as the semester progresses.
CATT - COUGAR ATHLETIC TRAINING TABLE
The "CATT" dinner meal program is optional for the non-scholarship football student-athletes and they can request access to the CATT meal program each semester at an additional cost (approximately $700 per semester). There are 5 dinner meals a week at the CATT.
The Cougar Nutrition Program provides pre and post workout meals/snacks as well as an ala carte lunch (Cougar Express) to all eligible members of WSU Athletics Teams at no additional cost to the student-athlete.
The Cougar Sports Nutrition Staff is committed to providing all student-athletes access to highly nutritious and performance based meals as well as refueling for pre and post workouts. All meals will enhance recovery and assist with lean body mass management strategies. CATT represents a high benchmark for excellence in food creativity, taste, presentation, and performance-based nutrition education.
ATHLETIC TRAINING SERVICES - completed by May 10
Athletic Training Services (ATS) provides medical care to student-athletes for athletic-related injuries while they are competing for WSU. WSU Athletics has an excess medical insurance policy that covers student-athletes in the event of an athletic-related injury after primary and secondary (if applicable) insurance pays on the claim. Student-athletes will not be able to practice until the following information has been received and the student-athlete has been cleared by the WSU Athletic Medicine Staff and physicians.
Parent(s)/guardian(s) must sign most of these forms for the student-athlete under 18.
