WSU Connections Store to Open in Downtown Spokane

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University will host a grand opening for its WSU Connections store in downtown Spokane Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 23, and WSU alumni, fans and friends are invited to join the celebration.
Washington State Director of Athletics Bill Moos, WSU Spokane Chancellor Lisa Brown and Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI) Vice President Alisha Benson will be in attendance and available for media interviews between 5-6 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. to officially open the building, preceded by remarks from Benson (4:30 p.m.), Brown (4:40) and Moos (4:50).
Activities throughout the day will include Cougar cheese sampling, football ticket specials for the Homecoming game against California Oct. 4, along with giveaways and an appearance by Cougar mascot, Butch T. Cougar. In addition to the ceremony at 4:30 p.m., drawings will be held throughout the day, beginning at 10 a.m., with prizes including Cougar cheese, gift baskets, WSU Connections gift certificates and 2014-15 Cougar Men’s Basketball season tickets.
WSU Connections, located at 618 W. Riverside Ave., will include a WSU ticket office, staff for the Cougar Athletic Fund and IMG College, as well as a retail outlet for WSU apparel and merchandise.
