WSU Radio Networks - Washington State University Athletics

Washington State football games are broadcast live on the radio across the region via the Cougar Sports Network. Football broadcasts begin two hours before kickoff, carry through the game and conclude with coach and player interviews on the Coug Talk postgame show. Derek Deis hosts pre and postgame coverage and is joined by former WSU players Grady Emmerson and Billy Newman throughout the season.

The Cougar Sports Network also features radio coverage of WSU men’s basketball, baseball, women’s basketball and women’s volleyball, along with the Cougar Football and Basketball Hours during the fall and winter seasons.

CHRIS KING

Chris King enters his second season as Voice of the Cougs, handling play-by-play duties for WSU football, men’s basketball and select baseball games along with hosting coaches shows and podcasts. King returned to Pullman in 2024 – where he graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication in 2009 – after gaining 13 years of DI broadcasting experience in neighboring Idaho. After two years announcing women’s basketball at Boise State, King became the men’s basketball broadcaster for the Idaho Vandals in 2013 before adding football broadcasting duties in 2021. The Marysville native also announced Minor League Baseball for the Tri-City Dust Devils from 2012-2021. Before his time with the Dust Devils, he spent three seasons as the broadcaster for the Wenatchee AppleSox. King has twice been honored as the Idaho Sportscaster of the Year (2017, 2023) by the National Sports Media Association for his work with the Vandals.

JESSAMYN MCINTYRE

Jessamyn McIntyre returns for her 14th season as a sideline reporter for Cougar football. McIntyre is the assistant program director of Sports Radio 93.3 KJR in Seattle and previously was an executive producer for Q13 FOX in Seattle, was an executive producer for 710 ESPN Seattle (2009-20) and for ESPN Radio in Bristol, Conn. (2005-09). Additionally, she hosted the Seattle Seahawks postgame show on Northwest Cable News and served on the board of directors for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

ALEX BRINK

Alex Brink begins his eighth year as an analyst on the Cougar football broadcasts. As a student-athlete for WSU, Brink was a three-time All-Pac-10 quarterback from 2004-07, setting school records for career touchdowns and passing yards. He is also the only starting quarterback in school history to lead the Cougars to three Apple Cup victories. The Eugene, Ore. native was also a three-time All-Academic honoree and a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete during his senior year. Brink was selected in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, where he played two seasons before spending six seasons in the Canadian Football League.

Brink is co-founder of EForce Sports, a performance training, skill development and fitness company in Portland and has served as a quarterback coach at the Elite11 Quarterback Competition. He has previously been part of the Cougar Roadshow pregame broadcast and was a contributor on NBCSports Northwest as well as ESPN 1080 and Rip City Radio in Portland.
