HOMETOWN: Tacoma, Wash.
HIGH SCHOOL: Curtis (Tacoma) High, 1974 - School's athlete of the year as a senior after outstanding football, basketball and track career...coached by Curtis Bagby while earning All-Seamount League honors as a safety and halfback...set league record with 16 interceptions and averaged 6.9 ypc on 132 rushes senior year...played in the 1974 Shrine Game...honor student with 3.25 GPA.
COLLEGE: Washington State University, 1978 - Completed brilliant career by being selected to the Pacific-8 first team, the AP All-West Coast first team and the AP All-America honorable mention squad... played in the Challenge Bowl and the Hula Bowl and was picked to play in the Japan Bowl, but declined...caught 121 passes in his career to rank third on WSU's all-time list and eighth on the league list...with 2,061 reception yards, ranked second on WSU's career list and one of only seven receivers to top 2,000 yard mark in Pac-8 history...caught 43 passes for 736 yards as a senior... junior year caught school record 67 receptions for a WSU and Pac-10 record 1,124 yards, earning him All-Pac-8 and AP All-West Coast first team honors.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the sixth round of the 1978 draft...also was with Buffalo and Tampa Bay in 1978...spent the 1979-80 seasons with Cincinnati...played with Edmonton in 1982 (winning the Grey Cup) and with Calgary, 1983-85.
COACHING EXPERIENCE: British Columbia Lions (CFL), 1986-89 - Guest coach...worked with wide receivers;
Toronto Argonauts (CFL), 1990-91 - Receiver coach...team won 1991 Grey Cup...coached league's receiver of the year in 1990 and 1991 (Raghib Ismail).
