HIGH SCHOOL: Bishop Amat, 1993 - Earned four varsity letters in soccer and lettered one year in football as a punter and kicker...as a JUNIOR earned All-Del-Rey League first team honors in soccer...SENIOR year was an all-league pick again in soccer and team captain...during football season was named to the all-league first team and was special teams player of the year, averaging 38.5 yards per punt...hit on all 51 extra points and made 3-of-4 field goals for 15-0 state champion team.
COLLEGE: Washington State, 1998 - Received a degree in communications...handled punting chores for two years at WSU for head coach Mike Price...averaged 42.8 yards on 60 punts as a junior, with a pair of 55-yarders...senior year averaged 43.4 yards on 56 punts...longest punt was 59 yards...averaged 53.0 yards against Boise State to earn the national AT&T Long Distance Award...his 43.8 regular season average was the best in the Pac-10...selected by the league's coaches to the all-conference second team...selected to play in the annual Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
Citrus Junior College, 1996 - Spent two years playing for head coach Dean Karnosk...sophomore year averaged 40.1 punting with a long of 61 yards...also was the team's kicker, hitting 11-of-18 field goals, with the longest 50 yards...second year selected the all-conference first team punter and kicker and received honorable mention All-State recognition as a punter.
