THOMPSON'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Three-year letterwinner for head coach Manuel Garcia...was also a two-year captain for the Generals...played both wide receiver and running back on offense, and outside linebacker and strong safety on defense...SENIOR year was cut short due to injury...playing in only three games, still caught 17 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown...also rushed 12 times for 122 yards and a score...registered 58 tackles and an interception...JUNIOR year team went 8-3 and lost in the second round of the playoffs...caught 29 passes for 481 yards and six tackles...on the other side of the ball recorded 68 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown en route to all-league honors...SOPHOMORE year squad went undefeated and won the SSL Championship...also a three-year letterwinner in track, winning each of his four events at both the league and valley championships during his junior and senior seasons.
