VanMANEN'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER

Attended Centennial High, where he was coached by Tom Brockman while earning three varsity letters as a tailback and defensive back...also lettered in basketball (2) and track (4)...JUNIOR season rushed 111 times for 881 yards (7.9 average) and 12 touchdowns...also picked off three passes...second team All-State pick by the Denver Post and an all-conference first team honoree...set school record with 10.75 clocking in the 100m...qualified for the State track meet in the sprints...during SENIOR year carried the ball 180 times for 1,103 yards (6.1) while scoring 17 touchdowns and scoring 104 points...two interceptions...All-State second team pick by both the DP and the Rocky Mountain News...repeat member of the all-conference first team...selected to play in the All-State Game in June.
