WARD'S WSU CAREER
JUNIOR (2007): Earned a varsity letter after appearing in each of WSU's 12 games...caught three passes for 18 yards on the season...caught his first career pass as a Cougar against San Diego State...reception went for six yards...caught two passes the following week against Idaho...also returned five kickoffs for 74 yards (14.8-yard average) on the season.
SOPHOMORE (2006): Earned a varsity letter after appearing in each of WSU's 12 games...received WSU's Pacific-10 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week nomination following his performance against Arizona State...received the team's weekly Cougar Claw Special Teams Award following his performance against Baylor...saw most action as member of WSU's punt return and punt special teams units.
FRESHMAN (2005): Delayed enrollment until January 2005, then participated in spring drills...earned a varsity letter after appearing in each of WSU's 11 games...earned the team's weekly Offensive Scout Team Award in the week of practice leading up to the Arizona State game...one of nine true freshman to see varsity action...saw significant action as a member of WSU's punt, punt return, kickoff and kickoff return special teams units.
WARD'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Coached by Ed Croson...as a JUNIOR (2002-03) helped Birmingham capture the City Section title...SENIOR (2003-04) year hauled in 27 passes for 642 yards and 10 touchdowns...had a pair of 100-yard receiving performances with 114 coming against Monroe and 118 against Granada Hills...caught a 95-yard touchdown pass against Monroe...helped team to a 7-4 record, including 5-0 in West Valley League play...finished second in West Valley League in receiving yardage.
