WSU Career: During the fall of her FRESHMEN (2011-12) year, competed with the varsity eight and junior varsity eight...in the spring, competed for both the second varsity eight and the varsity four...while competing with the varsity four, she helped the team place first in group B at the Lake Natoma Invite ... varsity four boat defeated Oregon State as the team captured the Winchell Cup for the third straight year...varsity four finished fourth in the Pac-12 Championships
HIGH SCHOOL: Rowed for four years under head coach Susanne Walker Curry at St. Michael's University School....during sophomore year of high school, earned a gold medal at the Canadian High School Championships in the senior women's quad and earned a bronze medal in the junior women's single...as a junior, placed first at the Windermere Opening Day Regatta in junior `A' quad and fourth at the Canadian Nationals in the senior women's quad and double...as a senior, finished fifth at the National Rowing Championships in the junior women's single and was one of eight women invited to BC camp...also rowed on the Junior National Development Team under coach Alan Oldham.
PERSONAL: Michelle Aylard...born in January of 1993...parents Dave and Lisa are farmers...sisters Sarah and Rachel...brother Chris...enjoys long boarding and surfing...interested in pursuing a degree in civil engineering at Washington State.
