Earned eight varsity letters at Snohomish High...three letters as a tackle for football coach Mark Perry...one letter for wrestling coach Bob Zable...four letters for track coach Jay Adams...on gridiron was voted most inspirational, captain's award and All-WESCO...sophomore year was runner-up in discus at district meet and fourth place at 4A State Championships with PR toss of 148-7...junior year threw shot put PR distance of 43-0...discus winner at Wesco League Championships...threw discus PR of 160-6 to win Regional meet...finished ninth at state 4A Championships...best hammer throw of season was 163-7...finished seventh in hammer at state championship...named all-conference...senior season was runner-up in discus league and district championships and 11th at state meet...heaved hammer PR of 184-8...finished fifth at state championship...named all-conference second team in track.
