JUNIOR (1998-99): Indoor - Limited racing but finished seventh in the 55m dash at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in a time of 6.42i (2/20/99, Reno)...had career-best indoor long jump of 7.33m/24-0 3/4i at same meet for third place...Outdoor - Spend first part of season in rehab for nagging leg muscle problems...won long jump at Pre-Pac-10 meet...finished sixth at the Pac-10 Championships with best leap of 7.26m/23-10 (5/22/99, Tempe).
JUNIOR COLLEGE CAREER: Attended University of Regina in 1997...transferred to Bakersfield College in Spring 1998...ran 100m and long jumped for coach Bob Covey...top 100m time of 10.64...long jumped 7.62m/25-0 and took second at the California state junior college championships.
