Earned 12 varsity letters at Kiona-Benton City High...four each in volleyball as a middle blocker, and four each in basketball as a post player, and track as a thrower...highly successful volleyball career with coach Sharon Brandon...team finished second at state freshman year and won championship senior year with 32-2 record...three-time Tri-City Herald All-Area Player of the Year and senior year CWAC PoY...in basketball, set state tourney rebounding record with 20 boards as freshman, named to all-league and all-state first team as junior...also named MVP of Media Classic game...track accolades included state finishes of third in shot put as freshman, second in shot and third in discus sophomore year, won shot put title with record throw of 42-5, third in the discus and sixth in the javelin as a junior...senior year repeated as state shot put champ and broke own record with throw of 42-7 1/4...also won state discus title (136-2) and finished sixth in javelin...named Tri-City Herald Female Athlete of the Year three consecutive years (2000-01 through 2003).
