JUNIOR (1999-2000):  Outdoor - Finished fourth in the javelin at Pac-10 Championships with toss of 64.12m/210-4 (5/21/00, Eugene)…top throw of year was NCAA PQ launch of 68.58m/225-0 for first place at the Palouse Team Invitational (4/8/00, Pullman)…SOPHOMORE (1998-99):  Outdoor - Finished seventh at the Pac-10 Championships with the second-best throw of the season - 64.46m/211-6 (5/22/99, Tempe)…PR toss of 66.00m/216-6 came in win at Palouse Team Invitational (5/1/99, Pullman)…FRESHMAN (1997-98):  Outdoor - Threw a Pac-10 qualifying 61.72m/202-6 at the Tri-City Sports Festival (3/21/98, Richland).
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER.  Accumulated ten varsity letters at Nooksack Valley High…three each in football and basketball…four in track as a thrower for coach Sue Robinson…served as a captain for all three teams both junior and senior years…as a FRESHMAN, advanced to state meet in javelin…best throw of 167-9…SOPHOMORE season was a started on both football and basketball teams…threw javelin 181-0…during his JUNIOR year, advanced to state meet in shot put, discus and javelin…placed fourth in javelin with school record 193-3…also finished eighth in shot…as a SENIOR, named all-conference in football and basketball…won state javelin championship with 191-7 throw…at state meet also placed second in shot (52-6) and eighth in discus (150-0)…selected Male Athlete of the Year by the Bellingham Herald.
