SCOTT-ELLIS RETURNS TO NCAA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
Washington State senior Stephan Scott-Ellis (Tacoma) returns to the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships March 8-9 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark...long jump trials and final are Friday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m. CT...Scott-Ellis was 2012 and 2013 MPSF long jump champion...at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Championships Scott-Ellis was seventh in triple jump (15.87m/52-1i) and 13th in long jump (7.14m/23-5 1/4i)...earned indoor All-America honors in 2012...for video and results, click on: www.ustfccca.org/weekly-results/national-championships-central-indoor-track-field#d1.

LAST CHANCE MEETS
The Cougar men's Distance Medley Relay squad of Jesse Jorgensen and Drew Jordan ran a time of 9:40.20 for 22nd at at the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invitational...time is 28th-best nationally...at the UW Final Qualifier in Seattle, Justin Englund ran a PR 5k time of 14:20.14, and Austin Sodorff pole vaulted a PR height of 4.83m/15-10.

USA INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Former Cougars Joe Abbott and Blessing Ufodiama had notable performances at the 2013 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships were held March 2-3 in Albuquerque, New Mexico...Abbott, who completed his eligibility in 2012 for WSU, finished sixth in the men's 800m race, winning a preliminary heat in a PR time of 1:47.93 and running a time of 1:51.27 for sixth in the final...Blessing Ufodiama, a 2004 graduate of WSU, was the runner up in the women's triple jump with a leap of 13.44m/44-1 1/4.

WSU MEN 14th IN Track & Field News' INDOOR DUAL MEET RANKINGS
The Washington State men's team is 14th in the final edition of Track & Field News magazine's indoor dual meet rankings released Feb. 18...Texas A&M men and LSU women were the top 2013 indoor teams...WSU was the only Pac-12 school...indoor national rankings are only a part of the overall indoor/outdoor dual meet national rankings....preview of the outdoor season's dual meet action will appear in April issue of Track & Field News...to be considered for the indoor rankings, a team must compete in at least one dual meet during the indoor season, using TFN's definition of a dual meet as a scored meet between four or fewer teams...T&FN's dual meet rankings, (http://www.tracksuperfan.com) are a revival of annual rankings compiled from 1970 to 1995...a full compilation of past dual meet rankings are at tracksuperfan.com.
