POSTGAME NOTES

--Washington State used its sixth different line-up in eight games this season...fourth straight game with a different starting line-up.

--The Cougars held Portland to one field goal over the Pilots' first eight possessions (1-for-5 FG, 3 Turnovers).

--WSU freshman guard Chris Matthews entered the game at the 12:04 mark of the first half...first action since Nov. 30 vs. Wyoming...scored a season/career-high six points.

--The game was tied five times and the lead changed six times in opening stanza.

--The Cougars opened the second half with a 23-6 run to increased their lead to 48-26 at the 10:47 mark.

--WSU's junior transfer Rodney Edgerson scored a season/career-high eight points.
