PULLMAN, Wash. --- Former Washington State wide receiver Kevin McKenzie was named the Arena Football League's U.S. Army Ironman of the Week following his two-way performance for the Colorado Crush Saturday.
McKenzie helped the Crush defeat the Grand Rapids Rampage with four receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown, a three-yard rushing touchdown, 2.5 tackles, and a 44-yard interception return for a score in the 55-37 victory.
The Crush, owned by NFL legend John Elway, are 2-0 on the season. This marks the second time the former "Fab Five" receiver has earned Ironman of the Week honors.
McKenzie lettered at WSU in 1996 and 1997, racking up 50 receptions for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns during the Cougars' march to the 1998 Rose Bowl.
