LA QUINTA, Calif. (Feb. 17, 2026) – Freshman Dylan Boenning posted a 4-under, 67, as Washington State soared up the leaderboard during the second round of play at The Prestige Tuesday, played at the par-71, 7,094-yard Greg Norman Course at PGA West.
 
The Cougars started fast on Tuesday's second round, carding eight birdies collectively on the first three holes. As a team, they made the turn at 8-under and finished the day with 23 birdies and an eagle. After starting the day in 18th place, WSU posted an even-par round of 284 and moved up 10 spots and sit tied for eighth at 13-over par, 581.
 
Boenning opened his round with a bogey on the par 4 10th, but fired birdies on five of his next seven holes to make the turn at 4-under, 32. He began his back nine with three-straight bogeys but regained his groove by closing with three birdies over the last five holes to finish the day with eight birdies and post a two-round score of 1-under, 141, tied for eighth overall after moving up 48 places on the individual leaderboard.
 
Senior Sam Renner could not have had a better start to his day, starting on Hole 10 and going birdie-eagle-birdie on his first three holes. Another birdie and bogey had him at 4-under at the turn. Renner took it to 6-under for the day with birdies on holes 2 and3 before going 4-over on the last five holes to end with a 2-under, 69. Renner moved up 57 spots on the leaderboard as his 36-hole score is tied for 29th.
 
Sophomore Dylan Burcham also started strong with two birdies in his first three holes off the back. He made the turn at even-par and managed seven pars and two bogeys on his back 9 to finish at 2-over, 73. Burcham's 36-hole score of 5 over, 147 has him tie for 50th overall.
 
Redshirt-junior Ben Borgida posted two birdies en route to a second-round score of 5-over, 76. Borgida's two-day total of 7-over, 149 has him tied for 62nd overall.
 
Freshman Christian Flick improved six strokes over his opening round as he finished with a 4-over, 75. Flick's round started well with two birdies over his first four holes before making the turn at even-par. He recorded two more birdies on his back nine to finish his first 36 holes at 14-over, 156, tied for 110th place overall.
 
Sophomore Garrett Harrison, playing as an individual at the Golf Course at Terra Lago, fired his second-straight round of 2-over, 74. Harrison posted three birdies on his back nine as he is tied for ninth overall at 4-over, 148.
 
The Prestige concludes Wednesday morning with Washington State teeing off at 6:45 a.m.
