Washington State women's volleyball remains in Pullman to open the WCC schedule, starting with San Francisco on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. and then Sant Clara on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. in Bohler Gym.

ABOUT WASHINGTON STATE
The Cougars wrapped up their non-conference schedule with a strong 6-4 overall record after a trio of preseason tournaments, including close losses to No. 23 Utah and No. 24 Dayton in which they went toe-to-toe. Statistically, WSU has been one of the top teams in the nation in setting and attacking, ranking eighth in the nation in both kills per set (14.65) and assists per set (13.49), 37th in attacks per set (36.51), 65th in hitting percentage (.252) and 80th in digs per set (14.84). Additionally, the team ranks first in the West Coast Conference in all five aforementioned statistical categories.

SERIES HISTORY
WSU will see conference opponents come to town for the first time this season, starting with USF who leads the all-time series with WSU, 6-3, followed by Santa Clara who the Cougars lead 8-5 all time.

WE LOVE LUCIE
Lucie Blazkova is 12th in the nation in hitting percentage with her mark of .460 through 10 games this season. She also ranks top-five in the WCC in several categories, including third in points per set (4.23), and fifth in both blocks per set (1.16) and total blocks (43). Nationally in those categories, she ranks 101st in points per set, 125th in blocks per set, and 160th in total blocks.

BLAZKOVA'S BLOCKING
With 50 career solo blocks, the redshirt-sophomore is two away from entering the WSU all-time top 10 list in that category. The program record is 195, set by Carrie Couturier (1988-91).

ACES HIGH
Lucie Blazkova tied the WSU all-time single match record with 7 service aces in the season opener sweep of Lafayette on 8/29.

WSU WEEKLY AWARDS
Eliana Ti'a was WCC Freshman of the Week in week one (9/1) and then earned it again for her second-straight week in week two (9/8), along with Lucie Blazkova's first Offensive Player of the Week honor.

PRESEASON RANKINGS
Washington State volleyball was picked to finish fourth in the Preseason WCC Coaches' Poll, tied with Oregon State, while redshirt-sophomore Lucie Blažková was named to the 2025 WCC Preseason Team.

UP NEXT
The Cougars are back out on the road next week at Seattle U on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. before returning to Pullman to host Gonzaga, Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
