ABOUT WASHINGTON STATE
The Cougars have opened the non-conference portion of their schedule with a strong 3-3 overall record after a pair of preseason tournaments, including close losses to No. 23 Utah and No. 24 Dayton in which they went toe-to-toe. Statistically, WSU has been one of the top teams in the nation in setting and attacking, ranking fourth in the nation in assists per set (14.04), fifth in kills per set (15.04) and sixth in attacks per set (38.74). Additionally, they rank 17th in digs per set (16.52), 24th in total assists (323) and 28th in total kills (346), and the team ranks first in the West Coast Conference in all six aforementioned statistical categories.

SERIES HISTORY

WE LOVE LUCIE

She also sits 34th in total points (108.5) and 48th in points per set (4.72). In the WCC she ranks first in both hitting percentage and total points, and second in points per set.

BLAZKOVA'S BLOCKING
With 48 career solo blocks, the redshirt-sophomore is four away from entering the WSU all-time top 10 list in that category. The program record is 195, set by Carrie Couturier (1988-91).

ACES HIGH
Lucie Blazkova tied the WSU all-time single match record with 7 service aces in the season opener sweep of Lafayette on 8/29.

WSU WEEKLY AWARDS
Eliana Ti'a was WCC Freshman of the Week in week one (9/1) and then earned it again for her second-straight week in week two (9/8), along with Lucie Blazkova's first Offensive Player of the Week honor.
