WSU Athletics Announces Fan Experience Enhancements for Cougar Football

PULLMAN, Wash. (July 18, 2025) – Washington State Athletics has announced the 2025 Football Theme Game schedule as well as fan enhancements that are to be implemented ahead of the 2025 Cougar Football season.
 
"We are so excited for the upcoming year and ready to welcome Cougar Nation back to Pullman," said WSU Director of Athletics Anne McCoy. "We have listened to our fans and worked diligently to enhance the entire Cougar Football Weekend experience. Adding events such as Camping with the Cougs and the Wyatt Flores concert to engage the entire community and provide a true gameday experience."
 
Throughout the 2025 football season, each home game at Gesa Field will have a theme to heighten the gameday experience. New for the 2025 season is Camping with the Cougs, which will debut for the season-opening weekend against Idaho. Below is the 2025 Cougar Football Theme Game schedule:

Idaho Weekend – Aug. 29-30
Camping with the Cougs
In response to limited hotel space surrounding home football weekends, Washington State Athletics is partnering with the WSU Alumni Association to present Camping With The Cougs for the season-opener against Idaho. Fans for that weekend will be able to purchase camping spots located on Mooberry Track as well as the turfed field on Grimes Way adjacent to the Lighty Student Services building. There will be 97 spots available and the cost for Camping With The Cougs is $250 for two nights (all spots require two night stay), which includes parking. Game tickets for the Idaho contest are not included. More information regarding Camping With The Cougs will be released in the coming weeks.
 
Movie Night on Gesa Field
On Friday, August 29, WSU Athletics will host a movie night on Gesa Field. In the weeks leading up to the Idaho game, WSU Athletics will solicit input through a fan poll on social media allowing a fan vote for the featured movie. The event will take place on Gesa Field and will be free to the public. Limited concession items will be available.
 
Homecoming / San Diego State Weekend – Sept. 5-6
Wyatt Flores Concert – Friday, Sept. 5
Up-and-coming country artist Wyatt Flores makes his way to the Palouse to kickoff Homecoming weekend with a concert on Rogers Field, Friday, Sept. 5. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for attendees and the Alumni Center will host their Homecoming Pep Rally at 6 p.m. with autograph sessions featuring current Cougar student-athletes. The Brudi Brothers will be the opening act starting at 7 p.m. with Wyatt Flores taking the stage soon after. Tickets are $27 for general admission, $12 for WSU students, and can be purchased HERE.
 
Native American and Military Appreciation Weekend – Louisiana Tech Weekend – Nov. 14-15
Basketball kicks off the Louisiana Tech weekend as it includes a Friday night men's and women's basketball doubleheader preceding the Saturday football game. On Friday, Nov. 14, the Cougar women's basketball team will host Stanford while the men's team will host cross-state rival Washington.
 
Cougar Athletics Tailgate Trot
The morning of the Louisiana Tech game, Cougar Athletics will host the Tailgate Trot, a 5k/10k race in and around Pullman and through the WSU campus. The event will start at 9 a.m. with both races concluding by 11 a.m. Following the races, fans have the opportunity to head to Bohler Gym to watch Cougar Volleyball as it hosts Seattle U at Noon.
 
Additional fan enhancements surrounding Cougar Football weekends include Sunrise Yoga on Gesa Field the morning of the first three home weekends pending weather. Further, Cougar Athletics has partnered with WIT, a comprehensive digital fan engagement platform that can be integrated within Gesa Field, through WSU social channels, and in WSU email marketing. Fans will notice an upgraded interactive experience through polls, contests, trivia and more.
 
2025 WSU Football single game tickets are on sale next week. CAF presale is Monday, July 21 at 10 a.m., and the general public on sale is Wednesday, July 23.
