PULLMAN, Wash. (May 23, 2025) – Washington State women's rowing had 10 earn West Coast Conference All-Academic honors, as announced by the WCC.

Fiona Elliott, Hannah Elliott, Jess Horrigan, Isabella Jachymek, Izabela Janecek, Tannith Johnson, Elle Kadir, Vera Lichvarcik, Lucy Munro and Jaeve Proberts were all named WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention for their efforts in the classroom and on the water.

Fiona Elliott – Biology, 3.79
Elliott rowed in the four-seat in the WSU 2V8 at the WCC Championships, helping the boat win their event in the day-one preliminary heat before a third-place finish in the grand finals. She also helped the Cougar 2V8 to a sixth-place finish in day one of the Lake Wheeler Invitational and a fourth-place finish at the Head of the American.

Hannah Elliott – Biology, 3.94
Elliott rowed in the three-seat in the WSU 1V4 at the WCC Championships, helping the shell place second overall in the Grand Final, and third the day before in the preliminary heat. She also helped the 1V4 place fourth in the event at the Lake Wheeler Invitational ahead of both No. 18 Duke. Elliot also helped lead the Cougar 1V4 to a wins at both the Winchell Cup and Head of the Spokane, along with wins for the 2V4 at the Fawley Cup and the 4V8 at the Head of the Spokane.

Jess Horrigan – Kinesiology, 3.25
Horrigan rowed in the two-seat of the WSU 1V4 at the WCC Championships, helping the boat finish second overall in the grand finals after a third-place finish in the day one preliminary heat. She also helped the Cougar 1V4 to a second-place finish at the Lake Wheeler Invitational ahead of No. 18 Duke. Horrigan also saw first-place finishes in the WSU 1V4 at the Winchell Cup and the Head of the Spokane, and in the 2V4 at the Fawley Cup.

Isabella Jachymek – Economic Sciences, 3.83
Jachymek rowed in the bow seat of the WSU 2V8 at the WCC Championships, helping the shell to at third-place finish in the Grand Final after a first-place finish in the day one preliminary heat. She also helped the Coug 2V8 place sixth in day one at the Lake Wheeler Invitational, first-place finish in the 2V8 at the Head of the Lake, and a third-place showing in the 1V4 at the Head of the Spokane.

Izabela Janecek – Psychology, 3.96
Janecek competed in the six-seat of the Cougar 1V8 at the WCC Championships, helping the boat to a third-place finish in the Grand Final after a second-place showing in the day one preliminary heat. She also saw a pair of fourth place finishes in the 1V8 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational ahead of No. 24 North Carolina. Janecek helped the WSU 1V8 place fourth in the San Diego Crew Classic ahead of No. 20 Notre Dame and No. 23 Southern California. She also helped the 2V8 to a first-place victory at the Head of the Lake.

Tannith Johnson – Environmental Science/Philosophy, 3.64
Johnson rowed in the two-seat of the 2V4 for the Cougars at the WCC Championships, helping the shell place second in the Grand Final after a first-place finish in the day one preliminary heat. She also helped the Cougar 3V8 place first at the Head of the Lake

Elle Kadir – Kinesiology, 3.68
Kadir sat stroke seat in the WSU 1V4 at the WCC Championships, helping the boat finish second overall in the grand finals after a third-place finish in the day one preliminary heat. She also helped the Cougar 1V4 to a second-place finish at the Lake Wheeler Invitational ahead of No. 18 Duke. Kadir also placed first in the 3V8 at the Head of the Lake.

Vera Lichvarcik – Criminal Justice & Criminology, 3.21
Washington State's 1V8 coxswain led the Cougars to a second-place prelim finish and a third-place finish in the grand finals at the WCC Championships. Lichvarcik also saw a pair of fourth place finishes in the 1V8 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational ahead of No. 24 North Carolina. 

Lucy Munro – Neuroscience, 3.31
Munro competed in the three-seat in the Cougar 2V8 at the WCC Championships, helping her boat place third after a first-place finish in the day one preliminary heat. She also helped the Cougar 2V8 to a sixth-place finish at the Lake Wheeler Invitational and a first place victory at the Head of the Lake, and rowed in the WSU 1V8 that placed third at the Head of the Spokane.

Jaeve Proberts – Art, 3.57
Proberts rowed in the four-seat of the Cougar 1V8, helping the Cougars to a second-place prelim finish and a third-place finish in the grand finals at the WCC Championships. She also saw fourth place finishes in the 1V8 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational ahead of No. 24 North Carolina. Proberts also rowed in the 2V8 this season, winning the event at the Head of the Lake, and placing second at each the Winchell Cup and Fawley Cup.
