STANFORD, Calif. (April 5, 2025) – Junior
Laura Lindquist captured the women's hammer title while five other personal-best marks were recorded to highlight Washington State Track & Field's performance Saturday at the Stanford Invitational on Cobb Track and Angell Field.

Linquist started things off as she captured first in the women's hammer throw, reaching a personal-best of 51.09m (167' 7"), winning the event by more than 13 feet over the second-place finisher.

In the men's hammer throw, freshman
Mason Andulajevic recorded the best collegiate throw of his career as he reached 58.93m (193' 4"), good for third in his section.

Freshman teammate
Kai Twaddle-Dunham saved his best for last, reaching 16.78m (55' 0.75") on his last attempt in the shot put, a personal best good for fifth in the field.

The track events were limited to the 800m for both men and women. Freshman
Rosemary Longisa captured her section in a time of 2-minutes, 7.57 seconds, setting a PR early in the outdoor season. Senior
Maya McCabe posted a similar time of 2:07.59, finishing sixth in her section. Junior
Riley Pyeatt set a PR, finishing in 2:11.54, seventh in her section.

On the men's side, sophomore
Kellen Langford finished second in his section, crossing in 1:52.80. Junior
Ferran Verges (1:53.63) and sophomore
Emmett Klus (1:56.56) finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in their heat.

The Cougars return to action next Friday, April 11, at the Jeff Rahn Classic, hosted by Whitworth University in Spokane.
