PULLMAN, Wash. (April 16, 2025) – Washington State Women's Golf heads to the 2025 West Coast Conference Championships in Northern California Thursday through Saturday.
The Course and Tournament Format
The WCC Championships will be held at the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif.
The course will play as a par-72 at 6,170 yards.
Teams will play 18 holes each day starting at 7:30 a.m.

Washington State shared the lowest team score in the final round to finish third at the USF Invitational held at The Olympic Club April 1. The Cougars combined for +7 in Monday's second round and again posted a +7 in Tuesday's final round to place third, just four shots off winner BYU. Five Cougars finished among the Top-19 while senior

Harrison, Cougs Finish Runners-Up at Nashville Invitational
Washington State junior
Hannah Harrison both finished runner-up at the Nashville Invitational at The Hermitage Golf Course, President's Reserve in Tennessee March 24-25. Harrison carded a two-over final round 74 to finish her round tied with Louise Dahl of Cal State Fullerton but Dahl birdied her final hole to clinch the win. Harrison finished her tournament with rounds of 69, 74 and 74 for the best tournament in her career highlighted by the runner-up finish. Sophomore
Alice Johansson also fired a final round 74 to finish ninth, her third Top-10 finish this season. Freshman
Agnes Brink capped her best tournament of the season with a final round 75 to tie for 16th. As a team, WSU posted its best finish of the season, placing second behind Iowa by two strokes.
Cougars Finish Seventh, Gamble Among Top-15 at Juli Inkster
Washington State finished among a 14-team field that featured six ranked teams at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational, hosted by San Jose State March 4. The Cougars finished seventh at +20, three strokes behind No. 48 Oregon State and ahead of No. 41 San Jose State and No. 33 UNLV. Top-ranked Stanford won the even by eight strokes at 29-under. Gamble recorded three birdies for a final round 72 to finish the tournament tied for 15th at one over while freshman
Agnes Brink produced her best round of the season with five birdies in a final round 72 to finish among Top-30.
Gamble Fires Final Round 68 at Westbrook Invitational
Senior
Madelyn Gamble fired a final round 68 for Washington State Women's Golf at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Ariz. February 24. Gamble recorded four birdies and 14 pars to card a final round 68 and moved up 11 spots to finish tied for 31st. Sophomore

Grace Rubelsky all posted finals rounds of 74 with Johansson and Rubelsky each recording four birdies during their round. The Cougars posted a final round of plus-two as a team and finished the tournament tied for 13
th with Sam Houston at plus-21.
Gamble, Johansson Named Preseason All-WCC
Madelyn Gamble and
Alice Johansson of Washington State Women's Golf were both named to the Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team. Gamble, a senior from Pleasant Hill, Calif., played in last year's NCAA Regional after earning an at-large selection. Gamble finished last season with a 73.22 scoring average, the third-best average in program history while posting eight Top-25 finishes including a pair in the Top-10. Gamble had a pair of Top-20 finishes this past fall, tying for 18th in the season-opening Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in Kentucky and closed the fall tying for 14th at the Clash at Boulder Creek in Las Vegas.
Johansson, a sophomore from Bollnas, Sweden, finished right behind Gamble last season with a 74.03 scoring average to go along with three Top-25 finishes including a tie for second at the 2023 Molly. Johansson had one of the best fall seasons in the country, winning the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in Kentucky and shared the title in the Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Colorado. Johansson put her name atop the Cougar record book with a school-record 65 in the second round of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, also tying for the 54-hole school-record with a 205 in the three rounds in Colorado.
WSU Closed Out Fall Tied for Sixth in Clash at Boulder Creek

th after shooting one-over for the tournament while sophomore Alcie Johansson tied for 31
st. Monday's second-record team score of eight-under tied the program record set in the third round of the 2007 UNLV Spring Rebel Invite, at the same course in Boulder Creek.
Cougars Close Out Play at The Molly
Washington State wrapped up play at The Molly Collegiate Invitational in Northern California October 1.

Sarah Skovgaard Bils led the way in all three rounds, firing an opening-round 74, second-round even-par 72 and a final-round 75 to record her second Top-25 finish in the first three tournaments. Sophomore

Alice Johansson Wins Again, Shares Ptarmigan Ram Classic Title
Sophomore
Alice Johansson picked up more hardware, sharing the Ptarmigan Ram Classic individual title in Colorado September 24. Johansson, who opened the season winning the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational hosted by Kentucky two weeks ago, entered the final round with a two-stroke lead after firing a 69 and school-record 65 in Monday's opening rounds. The Bollnäs, Sweden native closed the tournament with a one-under 71 to finish with a 54-hole school-record 205(-11) and share the individual title with Abigail Leighton from UC Davis who shot a final round 66. The Cougars finished the tournament in 11
th place and recorded the sixth-best team score amongst the field in Tuesday's final round.
Alice Johansson Wins Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in Kentucky
Sophomore
Alice Johansson fired her second straight round of 68 to win the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational hosted by Kentucky September 10. Johansson tallied eight birdies to post the best round among the 69-player field for the seconds straight day and held off TCU's Kirstin Angosta by one stroke to record her first career win and first individual title for the Cougars since 2020. Marie Lund-Hansen shared the Meadow Club Invitational in California in 2020. Johansson shot a four-over 76 in Sunday's opening round before posting back-to-back four-under 68's to earn the win after entering Tuesday's final round tied for third. As a team WSU moved up two spots to finish in sixth place while
Sarah Skovgaard Bils shot an even-round 72 to finish tied for 10
th and
Madelyn Gamble carded a two-over 74 to finish tied for 18
th.
Sara Pineros improved her score all three rounds capped by a round of 79 Tuesday while freshman

Kevin Tucker Named Women's Head Golf Coach
Kevin Tucker was named the Cougars' eighth women's head golf coach this past June. Tucker takes over the women's golf program after having spent the last six seasons on the WSU men's golf staff, most recently serving as associate head coach. The Washington State alum was also a two-time NCAA Regional Championship participant in his playing days as a Cougar. Tucker played on the men's golf team at Washington State from 2006-10 and was the second Cougar in school history to be invited to the NCAA Regional Championship his junior year. He went back to the championship his senior year, becoming the first Cougar golfer to receive multiple individual post-season invites. Tucker was also a two-time All-Pacific-10 Conference honorable mention honoree, making him the third Cougar in school history to receive multiple post-season accolades. During his time away from WSU, Tucker spent seven years playing professional golf and working at various golf clubs. He competed on the PGA Canada Tour from 2011-14, while also competing in All-American tour in Phoenix from 2011-13. He spent one season on the Dakotas Tour in 2016. Tucker worked at many Golf Clubs including the Estancia Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colo., and Scottsdale National Golf Club. Originally from Kennewick Wash., Tucker graduated from Kennewick High School in 2006. He is married to his wife, Ellen Kellie, who is also a WSU alum.
