Record-Breaking Cougs Begin Busy Track and Field Weekend

SPOKANE/SEATTLE/ALBUQUERQUE/CLEMSON — WSU Track and Field will push on with their busy indoor season with a split quadruple-header across the United States. Eli Lawrence, AJ McGloflin, and Tatum Moku will head to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, while Micaela De Mello, Grant Buckmiller, and Mason Lawyer will head to the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, S.C. The rest of the Cougar team will be split across the state of Washington at the Husky Classic in Seattle and the Whitworth Invitational in Spokane.

Last Time Out – Riverfront Invitational (Feb. 7-8, 2025)
Sophomore Grant Buckmiller put his name into the WSU record book by becoming the fastest indoor 400-meter runner in school history, while sophomore Tatum Moku improved on her school record in the pole vault to highlight Saturday's action at the Riverfront Invitational. Micaela De Mello also found the winner's circle for the third-straight meet in the 60-meter hurdles. Three runners set a personal best in the Men's 3000m race, while another two set season bests.

The Cougs will head to Spokane for the MPSF meet at the Podium from Friday, February 21 to Saturday, February 22.
