Cougars Compete at U. S. Open, Revitt Reaches Final

AUSTIN, Texas (December 4, 2025) – Four Washington State swimmers competed on day two of the U.S. Open Championships in Austin, Texas Thursday.
 
In the morning prelims, sophomore Darcy Revitt produced an outstanding 50 free showing, posting the fourth-fastest morning time of 24.85, just ahead of Olympian Simone Manuel.
 
Freshman Barbora Mileisyte notched a 25.52 in the 50 free to finish No. 17 overall while punching her ticket to this summer's European Championships in Lithuania. Senior All-American Emily Lundgren posted a personal-best 31.95 in the 50 breast and just missed out on making the "A" final while junior Ariel Wang competed in the 200 IM.
 
In the evening finals, Lundgren placed No. 12 with a 32.07 in 50 breast before Revitt capped the night with another record-setting 24.70 in the 50 free LCM, breaking her own school record while finishing sixth overall. Kate Douglass won the event with a  24.20, Manuel was just behind at 24.42, Gretchen Walsh was third, Liberty Clark was fourth and Marie Wattel was fifth. Revitt finished ahead of Caroline Larsen and Elizaveta Klevanovich.
 
The U.S. Open continues Friday in Austin, Texas.
