PULLMAN, Wash. (Dec. 4, 2025) – During the month of November, the Cougar Athletic Fund delivered the Give Strong, Finish Strong fundraising challenge to Cougar fans, with the goal of $100,000 throughout the month to benefit WSU student-athletes. The campaign exceeded all expectations with more than $257,000 raised throughout the month.
"We are so appreciative of Gesa Credit Union and Cougar fans everywhere who participated in this campaign," said WSU Interim Director of Athletics
Jon Haarlow. "Exceeding our original goal by over 150% is a credit to Coug fans everywhere. Our CAF team is driving efforts to secure the resources our programs need. Now is the time to recruit, retain, and elevate WSU and our student athletes. This is just the beginning, keep it up Cougs!"

Following WSU's victory over Oregon State to close out the regular season Nov. 29, the campaign came to a close with an astounding $257,787.64.
With an initial goal of $100,000, the aimed to fill a football field with giving, where each yard on the field represented $1,000 of support. When the end zone was reached, Gesa Credit Union's contribution of $10,000 was unlocked. The touchdown donation was made on Nov. 22, and with a little over a week remaining in the month, the Cougar Athletic Fund ran back down the field, pushing the goal to $200,000.
