Aden, Cook Earn WCC Cross Country All-Academic First-Team Honors

PULLMAN, Wash. (Dec. 4, 2025) – Washington State Cross Country student-athletes Micaiah Aden and Leo Cook were named to the 2025 West Coast Conference All-Academic First Team, the conference announced Thursday. Additionally, Eric Swedin and Grayson Wilcott received honorable mention honors, as did Nicole Bissell and Caroline Jepkorir on the women's side.
 
Aden, a sophomore from Nine Mile Falls, Wash., was one of 10 cross country runners named to the men's first team. Aden boasts a 4.00 grade point average as an environmental science major. Cook, a sophomore from Lake Oswego, Ore., holds a 3.80 GPA in architecture. Swedin, a junior from Selah, Wash. and a biology major with a 3.35 GPA, along with Wilcott, a senior marketing major with a 3.21 GPA from Kennewick, Wash., both received honorable mention honors.
 
Bissell, a junior public relations major from Spokane Valley, Wash., carries a 3.85 GPA while Jepkorir, a sophomore kinesiology major from Kenya, holds a 3.34 GPA. The honor marks the second in Bissell's career and is the first for Jepkorir.
