Ace Glass was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week, Monday by the conference. Glass earned the weekly conference honor for the second time this season, after delivering back-to-back double-digit games, including a team-high 24 points in the nonconference finale against Mercer.
Glass his scored in double figures nine times in 11 games. Against Eastern Washington, Dec. 17, delivered a career-high five assists in the win. The true freshman tallied his fifth 20-point game of the season Saturday afternoon, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Glass finished the two-game stretch shooting 56% from the floor with 10 rebounds, four steals, seven assists, and a block.
The Rialto, California native is leading the Cougars with 15.9 points per game, eighth in the West Coast Conference overall and the best scoring average of any freshman in the League. Glass ranks 12th nationally in freshman scoring. From the free throw line, Glass is shooting 89.4 percent, fifth in the WCC, and fourth nationally by a freshman.
Glass earned his first WCC weekly award, December 1, 2025, after he broke the WSU freshman single-game scoring record, scoring 40 points against Arizona State in the Maui Invitational semifinals.
The Cougars begin West Coast Conference action, Sunday, December 28 at Portland. WSU and the Pilots are scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
