Revitt and 200 Free Relay Post Wins, WSU Sits Second at Hawkeye Invite

IOWA CITY, Iowa (November 19, 2025) – Washington State Swimming tallied a pair of wins to sit in second place after day two of the Hawkeye Invitational hosted by Iowa Wednesday.
 
The Cougars received a win and a school-record from sophomore Darcy Revitt in the 50 free while the 200 free relay team closed the night with a win and a school-record. Washington State posted four WSU Top-10 times and a pair of school records on day two and only trail Nebraska. The Cougars will enter Thursday ahead of Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Miami, UConn, Iowa State and Northern Iowa.
 
Senior Lauren Willie opened the morning prelims with a WSU Top-10 time for the second straight day, finishing second in the 500 free with a 4:48.18 for the sixth-fastest time in program history.
 
Senior Emily Lundgren led the way in the 200 IM prelims with a 1:59.39 while sophomore Ashlyn Hernandez continued her impressive sophomore campaign with a WSU Top-10 time in the 200 IM, winning her heat with a 2:01.81, good for the ninth-fastest time in program history.
 
In the 50 free prelims, Revitt highlighted the morning with a Hawkeye Invite record 21.95 to win the prelims. Freshman Barbora Mileisyte also shined in the 50 free prelims, tying for the fourth-best time with a 22.56 while junior Addyson Lewis and sophomore Issabelle Parrish finished eighth and ninth, respectively.
 
Wille opened the evening session with an even better 500 free time, finishing second with a 4:45.64, the third-fastest 500 free time in program history. In the 200 IM, Lundgren posted a third-place finish with a 2:00.19 while Hernandez placed seventh with a 2:01.82 while junior Ariel Wang won the second heat with a 2:01.45.
 
Revitt continued to make history after the morning record-setter, breaking her own 50 free school record and meet record with a 21.84 to win the event. Mileisyte placed fourth with a 22.60, Lewis was eighth with a 23.20 and Parrish tied for tenth with a 23.05.
 
The 200 free relay team of Mileisyte, Parrish, Lundgren and Revitt closed day three with an impressive win, a school record and meet record 1:29.62. The "B" relay of senior Skylar Brgoch, senior Kathryn Gyde, Lewis and freshman Cecilia Ronnlund finished seventh out of 28 teams after posting a 1:31.91.
 
Thursday's day three of the Hawkeye Invitational will see the Cougars compete in the 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 400 medley relay with prelims set for 8 a.m. (PT) and finals set for 3 p.m. (PT).
