Cougs Claim 12 Events in Big Win over Denver

PULLMAN, Wash. (October 31, 2025) – Washington State Swimming claimed 12 of the 14 events and set two Gibb Pool records in a dominating 190-72 victory over Denver Friday.

The Cougars, who went 8-0 in dual meets last season, claimed their first dual of the season in their 2024-25 home-opener. WSU claimed both relay events, senior Emily Lundgren won three races and both senior Lauren Willie and sophomore Darcy Revitt won two races.

The 400 medley relay team of Jade Castro, Emily Lundgren, Issabelle Parrish and Darcy Revitt opened the meet with a win by nearly five seconds. Freshman Avery Bulkley followed with a win in the 1000 free with a 10:12.47, just beating teammate Hannah Huarte who touched in 10:13.22. Senior Lauren Willie followed with a win in the 200 free at 1:49.24, fellow senior Anna Rauchholz won the 100 back with a 53.80 and Lundgren claimed the 100 breast with a 1:00.11.

Revitt claimed the 50 free with a 22.63 as the Cougars went 1-2-3 in the event with freshman Barbora Mileisyte going second with a 22.75, tying the sixth-fastest 50 free time in WSU history, and junior Addyson Lewis placed third. Following a break, Revitt won the 100 free with a 48.87 and Mileisyte was second once again with a 50.76 and freshman Cecilia Ronnlund finished third for another WSU sweep.

Junior Jade Castro picked up her first win as a Coug with a 2:00.04 in the 200 backstroke, just ahead of Rauchholz at 2:00.53. Lundgren added another win in the 200 breast with sophomore Ashlyn Hernandez close behind in second and Willie followed with a 500 free win at 4:51.94. Lundgren and Ariel Wang went one-two in the 200 IM as Lundgren claimed her third win of the day.

The Cougars closed the meet with a Gibb Pool record 1:30.92 in the 200 free relay by Parrish, Mileisyte, senior Kathryn Gyde and Revitt.
