CHARLOTTESVILLE, Vir. (October 19, 2025) - Washington State dropped a 22-20 decision at No. 18 Virginia Saturday night. Check out the postgame notes from the road contest.

•      WSU captains; Brock Dieu, Tucker Large, Joshua Meredith, Caleb Francl

•      WSU has seen 48 players made their Cougar debuts in 2025 including 19 who have made their collegiate debut

•      WSU's 35 rush attempts were the second-most this season (36, San Diego State)

•      WSU rushed for 143 yards, its third straight 100-game and fourth this season

PLAYER NOTES

•      Brock Dieu (C) made his 28th career start, has started 27 consecutive games

•      Isaiah Hung made his collegiate debut on special teams

•      Kayo Patu made his season debut on special teams

•      Zevi Eckhaus threw for 183 yards and one touchdown, also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown

•      Eckhaus has three rushing touchdowns in 2025, has a rushing touchdown in three of his five career Cougar starts

•      Kirby Vorhees set a career high with 16 carries, rushed for 45 yards and had a 10-yard catch

•      Angel Johnson had a season-high 33 rush yards on five carries

•      Josh Meredith had seven catches for 108 yards, his second career 100-yard game (111, 2023 Apple Cup)

•      Meredith caught his second touchdown of the season and fifth of his career

•      Julian Dugger had an eight-yard catch in the first quarter, his first career reception

•      Isaac Terrell made his first career start

•      Caleb Francl made a team-high 11 tackles, his second career double-digit tackle game (11, Idaho), made season-high 1.5 tackles-for-loss

•      Tucker Large matched a season-high with eight tackles,

•      Ryan Harris matched a career-high with two punts inside the 20

•      Jack Stevens connected from 37 yards in the second quarter and 42 yards in the third quarter, is 10-of 11 this season
