PULLMAN, Wash. (April 18, 2024) – Washington State women's rowing gets to compete at home this weekend as they will face off with Gonzaga in the 32nd Fawley Cup race on Friday, April 19 at Wawawai Landing in Colton, Wash.
The Cougars hit the water Friday evening at 4:45 p.m. in the 2V4 flight with
Natalie Spring stroking and
Audrey Gulig in the coxswain's seat. The second flight for the Cougs will be an eight, launching at 5 p.m. with
Daniella Vicente leading stroke-seat. Coxswain is still to be determined for this flight.
WSU will follow that with a 2V8 at 5:15 p.m. led by
Ella Greenslade and stroked by
Saskia Steltman. At 5:30 p.m. a 1V4 with
Mackenzie Shipley stroking and
Vera Lichvarcik on the headset.
The 1V8 race will launch at 5:45 p.m. with
Ainsley Tiernan leading the Cougar shell along with
Sydney Wick in the stroke-seat.
Rounding out the evening will be the 3V8 at 6:05 p.m. which will see
Katrina Trubnikov in the coxswain's seat and
Natalie Spring stroking.
The Cougars will continue their spring season with one more regatta on April 26-27 at the Wheeler Invitational in Raleigh, North Carolina before the Pac-12 Championship on Sunday, May 19 at Lake Natoma in Gold River, California.
