Curtright and Kumhom earn Student Athlete of the Month Honors

PULLMAN, Wash. (March 14, 2023) – Washington State women's rower Eleanor Curtright and women's tennis player Fifa Kumhom have been named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for February, 2023.
Curtright, a senior from Boise, Ida., has produced a 3.93 GPA while majoring in civil engineering and minoring in mathematics. She rows in the 1V4 boat and has been named three times to the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll was named a 2023 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athlete. Curtright has also been named to the WSU Athletics All-Academic Team four times and the WSU President's honor roll three times. She was a Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Sctivities Crimson Award Winner, has volunteered as a Peer Academic Counselor, interned at GeoEngineers, and was a research assistant for the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
Kumhom, a senior from Bangkok, Thailand, has posted a 3.20 GPA while majoring in human development and minoring in hospitality business management. She has done well in her final season with the Cougs so far, going 19-4 in singles, including a win over No. 11 USC, and 13-6 in doubles. Off the court, she received the 2022-23 ITA Academic Achievement Award and has been on WSU Athletics All-Academic Team multiple times. She also records hours with WSU Nutrition in the Grey W for her HBM program.
Each month Washington State Academic Services honors two student-athletes who demonstrate commitment to academics while participating in their sport.
