Emily Lundgren Breaks School Record in Day Two of Art Adamson Invite

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (November 21, 2024) – Washington State Women's Swimming saw junior Emily Lundgren break her won school record in the 100 fly in day two of the Art Adamson Invite hosted by No. 22 Texas A&M Thursday.

The Cougars finished the day in third place, well ahead of Utah and just behind TCU while the Aggies lead the way.

For the second straight day, freshman Darcy Revitt posted a WSU Top-10 time in the morning prelims, going 1:01.33 in the 100 breast for the fourth-fastest time in program history. Revitt matched the second-fastest 50 free time in program history during Wednesday's prelims.

In the evening finals, the 200 medley relay team of Anna Rauchholz, Revitt, Emily Lundgren and Addyson Lewis placed third with a 1:39.77 and just missed the school record. The B team of Selena Duran Ortiz, Ashlyn Hernandez, Dori Hathazi and Emma Wright placed fifth.

The Cougars battled the hosts No. 22 ranked Texas A&M in the 100 fly as Lundgren broke her own school record in the event with a 52.60, good for second place while Hathazi was close behind with a 53.92 to place fourth. Sophomore Ariel Wang finished seventh in the 400 IM, Hathazi just missed improving her WSU Top-10 time with a 1:47.50 in the 200 free, good for fourth place, senior Angela Di Palo tied for sixth in the 200 free and junior Lauren Wille won the B final to place ninth in the same event.

Later in the evening, Lundgren nearly broke another one of her school records, posting a 1:00.20 in the evening final to win the 100 breast, the second-fastest time in program history behind her record 59.45. Revitt finished eighth while fellow freshman Ashlyn Hernandez finished tenth in the event.

Junior Anna Rauchholz placed second in the 100 back before the 800 free relay team of Revitt, Di Palo, Wille and Hathazi placed third to close out the evening.

The meet wraps up Friday with the morning prelim session at 7:30 a.m. (PT) and evening finals set for 3:30 p.m. (PT). Both sessions will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
