PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State beat Hawai'i 42-10 at Gesa Field Saturday afternoon. Check out the postgame notes from the win.

TEAM NOTES
•      WSU improved to 6-1 for the first time since 2018, has won five straight games at Gesa Field
•      WSU is bowl eligible for the third time under Jake Dickert and for the eighth time in last nine full seasons
•      WSU evened the all-time series with Hawaii at 3-3, first win in series since 1999, UH had won previous two meetings, 2024 was first meeting in Pullman in series history
•      WSU rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns, its sixth 100-yard game this season after recording four in 2023
•      WSU recorded three takeaways to push season total to 14, recorded 15 all of last season
•      WSU recorded a season-high four sacks
•      The WSU defense posted season-lows in points (10), total offense (300), rushing yards (104), held Hawaii to 0-8 on third downs

PLAYER NOTES
•      John Mateer carried eight times for 34 yards and two TD (8,14), his nine rushing TD this season are the third-most rushing TD by a Cougar quarterback in single-season history, recorded third career two-rush TD game and second this season (Apple Cup)
•      Mateer pushed his season rushing yard total to 533, the most by a Cougar quarterback in WSU single-season history
•      Mateer pushes his career rushing yard total to 684, fourth-most in WSU history by a Cougar quarterback
•      Mateer went 22-of-27 for 295 yards and three touchdowns, pushing season total to 16, his 85.0 completion percentage was fourth-best in WSU single-game history
•      Mateer was responsible for five touchdowns (3 pass, 2 rush) for the third time this season (6 - Portland State, 5 – San Jose State), has a rush TD and pass TD in five of the seven games this season
•      Jaxon Potter made his collegiate debut, went 2-for-2 for 26 yards
•      Leo Pulalasi scored his second career rushing touchdown, first came at Boise State
•      Kyle Williams caught four passes, his 44th consecutive game with a catch, owns a catch in all 44 career games played (1st 25 at UNLV (2020-22)
•      Kris Hutson caught seven passes for 90 yards and a 9-yard TD, his second TD reception as a Coug and fourth of his career
•      Carlos Hernandez caught four passes for 55 yards and a 32-yard touchdown catch, his first career TD catch
•      Cooper Mathers caught his fourth touchdown of the season, tying the WSU single-season record for TD by a tight end (Chris Leighton, 1987)
•      Mathers caught his sixth career touchdown pass, tied for second-most in WSU history for touchdown catches by tight end
•      Buddah Al-Uqdah picked off his 2^nd career pass (Colorado, 2023), made five tackles
•      Kapena Gushiken recovered his first career fumble, made three tackles and broke up a pass
•      Ansel Din-Mbuh recorded his first career sack, recorded 1.5 with career-high 2.5 tackles-for loss
•      Jamorri Colson forced his first career fumble
•      Parker McKenna recorded his first sack of the season, third of his career
•      Bryson Lamb recovered his first career fumble
•      Dean Janikowski tallied six points to push his career point total to 281, passing Andrew Furner for fourth-most in WSU history
•      Janikowski made six extra points to push his career PAT total to 154, 2nd-most in WSU history
•      Janikowski had a season-long 55-yard punt
