Cougs Win Bronze On Day One of The CSCAA Championships

ELKHART, Ind. – Washington State Women's Swimming jumped into the first night at the 2023 CSCAA National Invitational Championships with a bronze medal in the 200 Free Relay.
The 200 Free Relay team of Noelle Harvey, Hailey Grotte, Angela Di Palo, and Selena Duran took third at 1:31.58 to earn bronze.
During the morning preliminary events, three Cougs swam times that ensured their return in the first-day finals.
The combo of Anna Rauchholz and Noelle Harvey kicked off the prelim events by earning "A" final times in the 50 back. Freshman Rauchholz posted the third-fastest prelim time at 24.94 and was joined by Harvey who posted a final time of 25.50.
Harvey continued to dominate in the prelims and became an "A" finalist for the second time in the 50 Free touching the wall at 23.01.
The 500 free prelims featured Lauren Wille who earned the 15th spot in the "B" finals with a time of 4:52.87.
The Cougs earned 13th place out of 51 schools featured during day one of the National Invitational Championships.
WSU will return to the pool tomorrow for the second day of the championship.
