Cougars Start Strong In Day 1 of Pac-12 Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (February 22, 2023) -- The Washington State women's swim team made a splash Wednesday evening on opening night at the 2023 Pac-12 Conference Championships held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.Â
The evening session's events were the 200-medley relay and the 800-free relay and the Cougs closed out the first night with 92 points. WSU's 200 medley relay team of Anna Rauchholz, Hailey Grotte, Kirsten de Goede, and Selena Duran recorded personal best splits and clocked in at 1:39.28.Â
The 800-relay team of Angela Di Palo, Noelle Harvey, Dori Hathazi, and Kirsten de Goede swam powerfully to touch the wall at 7:13.52 ahead of the University of Utah.Â
The Cougs will return Thursday to compete in the 500 free, 50 free, and 200 IM.Â
