PULLMAN, Wash. – The Pac-12 Conference announced Thursday its 2023-24 men's basketball television package, featuring 17 Washington State home games, as well as conference game dates and tip-off times. Washington State will host 10 Pac-12 games this season, concluding with a three-game homestand against Southern California, UCLA, and Washington. All 31 of the Cougars' regular season games will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network, ESPN, or FOX networks.
As announced in August, the Cougars will host seven nonconference games at Beasley Coliseum, beginning with the Battle of the Palouse against Idaho, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. to kick off the 2023-24 season. The Cougars and Vandals have one of the oldest series in college basketball with this year marking the 278th all-time meeting between the Palouse programs.
WSU will host Prairie View A&M, Friday, Nov. 10, as part of the Pac-12/SWAC HBCU Legacy Series with tipoff at 7 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks. The Cougars make their first road trip the weekend before Thanksgiving, traveling to compete in the 2023 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off, Nov. 18-19. Wazzu will face Mississippi State, Saturday, followed by Northwestern or Rhode Island, pending Saturday's results.
The Cougars conclude the month of November back at Beasley Coliseum, hosting Utah Tech for Black Friday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. on Pac-12 Network. Eastern Washington makes the trip to Pullman for the second time in as many seasons, facing the Cougs, Monday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks.
Washington State continues its homestand to begin the month of December. WSU welcomes Portland State, Saturday, Dec. 2, for a 2 p.m. clash on Pac-12 Networks. The penultimate nonconference home game features the UC Riverside Highlanders against the Cougs at 7 p.m., Dec. 6, on Pac-12 Networks. For the final nonconference home game of the year, the Cougars host Grambling State with tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10.
Before the winter break, the Cougars will play a pair of neutral-site showcase events, beginning, Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Jerry Colangelo Classic in Phoenix, Ariz. The Cougs will face the Santa Clara Broncos at 11 a.m. from Footprint Center, live on Pac-12 Networks. WSU returns to Washington to face Boise State at Spokane Arena, Dec. 21, in the final nonconference game of the year. The matchup is scheduled for 8 p.m. tipoff on Pac-12 Networks.
The Cougars will begin the Pac-12 Conference schedule in the Rocky Mountains, facing Utah, Friday, Dec. 29, in Salt Lake City with tipoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT. WSU will make the short trip to Colorado to face the Buffaloes on New Years' Eve, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks.
After ringing in the new year, WSU returns to the Palouse for the opening home stand of league play. Oregon State travels to Beasley Coliseum, Thursday, Jan. 4 to face the Cougs at 8 p.m. The Ducks will follow on Saturday, Jan. 6 with a nationally-televised ESPN game, scheduled for 5 or 7 p.m.
Entering the third week of the Pac-12 schedule, WSU split the week on the road at home, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Southern California in Los Angeles. Tip-off in the city is set for 7:30 p.m. on FS1. The Cougs will return to Pullman to host a Saturday game against Arizona, Jan. 13 at 3 p.m.
WSU returns to a traditional travel week, Jan. 18, traveling to Stanford to face the Cardinal at Maples Pavilion at 8 p.m. The Cougars will travel across the Bay to face the California Golden Bears, Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. The Cougars have not lost on the northern California Pac-12 campuses since the 2019-20 season. Both games will be televised by Pac-12 Networks.
In the final week of January, the Cougars host Utah, Wednesday, Jan. 24 with a 7 p.m. tipoff on Pac-12 Networks. After an extra day off, WSU welcomes Colorado in the final regular season conference games between the programs, Saturday, Jan. 27. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Washington State will make the short trip to Seattle, Saturday, Feb. 3, for the first half of the Boeing Apple Cup Series against the Washington Huskies at 6 p.m. from Hec Ed Pavilion. The Cougars swept UW last season and have won six of the last eight matchups against their in-state rivals.
The seventh week of Pac-12 play finds the Cougs in Oregon for a return trip against Oregon State, Thursday, Feb. 8 with tipoff at 7 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks. WSU will travel up the road to Eugene for a Saturday clash against the Oregon Ducks, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m.
Returning to Pullman, the Cougars will play host to the northern California schools, welcoming California, Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. The Cardinal will visit Saturday, Feb. 17, for a battle between WSU and Stanford live on Pac-12 Networks at 3 p.m.
The Cougars' final road trip of the regular season will be to the Arizona desert. WSU will face the Wildcats, Thursday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. PT on FS1, before traveling to Tempe to face Sun Devils, Saturday, Feb. 24 to conclude conference road play. WSU's game with ASU will broadcast live from the ESPN networks at 5 or 7 p.m. PT.
Washington State will play at home for the final two weeks of the 2023-24 regular season, hosting Southern California on Leap Day, Feb. 29 at 7:30 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks. The UCLA Bruins arrive at Beasley Coliseum for a matchup, Saturday, March 2 at 4 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks.
The Cougs' final regular season home game brings the Washington Huskies to Pullman for a March 7 clash in the second half of the Boeing Apple Cup Series, Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. on FS1.
The 2024 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament begins March 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, concluding with the championship game Saturday, March 16 at 6 p.m. live on FOX.
