WSU Closes Pac-12 Championships With Relay Record and Top-10 Times

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (February 26, 2022) – Washington State women's swimming closed out the 2022 Pac-12 Conference Championships with school relay record and eight Top-10 times at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center Saturday.

History was made in the evening session as the 400 free relay team of Chloe Larson, Angela Di Palo, Emily Barrier and Noelle Harvey broke the school record with a 3:18.27, good for sixth-best in the Pac-12.

In the 200 breast evening session, sophomore Alexandra Vartiainen recorded the seventh-fastest time in program history with a 2:14.46 and freshman Sophie Macy added a Top-10 time for the second straight day, recording the tenth-fastest time with a 2:15.40. Senior Emily Barrier put her name in the WSU record book with a 50.26 in the 100 free, the tenth-fastest time in program history.

Freshman Noelle Harvey wrapped up her first career Pac-12 Championships with an impressive swim in the 1650 free, recording the fourth-fastest time in the 1000 free and finished the same race with the fourth-fastest time in the 1650 while finishing No. 12 in the conference.

In the 200 back, senior Taylor McCoy recorded the second-fastest time in the program history with a 1:56.34, also good for an NCAA B time. In the 200 fly, junior Jewel Springer celebrated her birthday by posting the tenth-fastest time in program history with a 2:03.83.
