PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State women's rowing team announced its 2023 spring schedule Friday, Dec. 16. The Cougars will get the spring started in San Diego April 1-2 for the San Diego Crew Classic.
Washington State is slated to compete in five regattas during the regular season, as the Cougars seek a bid to the 2023 NCAA Rowing Championships May 26-28 in Camden, New Jersey.
After the season-opener at the San Diego Crew Classic, Washington State will host its lone regatta at Wawawai Landing on April 8. The Cougars will host Oregon State for the Winchell Cup, which goes to the winner of the regatta, and the Crawford Plate, which goes to the winner of the first varsity eight race.
Four days after the home regatta against the Beavers, WSU will travel up to the Spokane River to compete against Gonzaga on April 12. The Cougars and Bulldogs will once again race for the Fawley Cup, a trophy given to the winner of the 1V8+ race. WSU will then head across the country to Raleigh, North Carolina April 21-22 to race in the Lake Wheeler Invitational.
The 2023 Pac-12 Women's Rowing Championships will take place once again at Dexter Lake in Dexter, Oregon. The Pac-12 Championships will take place on May 14 and will be hosted by Oregon State.
The 2023 spring season comes to a head May 26-28, as the 2023 NCAA Rowing National Championships will take place in Camden, New Jersey.
