Jackson did not disclose his medical issue and asked for privacy. In addition, Rodman missed the game at Prairie View A&M due to illness, Darling missed the game against Boise State (hip), and WSU has been without Jakimovski (foot) since preseason.

Kyle Smith played high school basketball at Alief Hasting High School. In addition, the Cougs played, Nov. 21, at Spokane Arena against Eastern Washington, just down the road from Central Valley High School where WSU freshman
Dylan Darling starred for the Bears as a 1,000-point scorer in the Greater Spokane League.
