COUGS VS COLORADO
The Cougs head to Boulder to take on a Buff team that is coming off one of their biggest wins of the season, a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over #16 USC last week at home. The Buffs have played 10 games on the year, tied for the most of all the Pac-12 teams having gone 6-3-1 overall. WSU is looking to make it two-straight against Colorado after cruising to a 4-1 win over the Buffs last season in Pullman thanks to a historic four-goal effort from all-america
Morgan Weaver on senior day. Prior to that, Colorado had won three in a row against the Cougs and have won each of the last two in Boulder with the last Coug win coming in 2015.
COUGS BACK TO NEARLY FULL STRENGTH
WSU is back to essentially full strength (minus senior standout Bri Alger who suffered a season-ending injury in the opener) after three weeks of battling injury and COVID-19 Protocol. Due to protocol, the Cougs were forced to cancel four Pac-12 contest missing out on chances to compete against Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, and Cal. Prior to going on pause, the Cougs were unbeaten in five games with their lone blemish coming in the form of a draw against Utah in their lone Pac-12 conference game of the year, to date. In addition to the protocols, the Cougs had a rash of injuries that sidelined both starters and reserves, wreaking havoc to their depth on the pitch.
