OPENING FIVE
> The Cougs final week of the regular season begins on the road at Arizona as WSU looks to secure its spot in the 8/9 matchup in the Pac-12 tournament. WSU attempts to even the season series against UA which won the opener 66-49 in Pullman last month.
> WSU picked up its first road win of the year last week with a 78-74 win over Washington to sweep the Huskies in the Apple Cup Series. Cougs are 2-7 in true road games.
>
CJ Elleby became the 38th member of the Cougs 1K point club Friday night, hitting the milestone in 61 games, the 3rd fastest in program history to hit 1K.
>
Isaac Bonton returned from injury to lead the Cougs past UW scoring 20 points. As a team the Cougs shot 50% the third best shooting percentage of the season while scoring 78 points after averaging 55 ppg the three games prior.
> Pac-12 seeding is beginning to flesh itself out with the Cougs sitting at the 9th seed (a half game up on Utah currently) and a date with Cal in the 8-9 matchup. However, two-games left leaves plenty of room for movement. WSU could climb as high as 8 and drop as low as 11 depending on the final weekend of play.
GAME INFORMATION - AT ARIZONA
WSU hits the road for the final weekend of the regular season as the Cougs head south to take on Arizona (Mar. 5) and Arizona State (Mar. 7). Last season, the Cougs came up with an upset sweep of the Arizona schools, shocking the two in the desert. In the first game of the week, the Cougs take on an Arizona team that won the first matchup at Beasley, 66-49, as the Cougs were held under 50 points for the first and only time on the year. The Cougs struggled from deep hitting just 3-of-18 against the Wildcats while Arizona dominated the paint as Stone Gettings (19&12) and Zeke Nnaji (10&10) both went for double-doubles. Arizona enters the matchup having dropped their last game to first place UCLA.
LAST TIME OUT
WSU 78 - UW 74 | Feb. 28, 2020 | Seattle, Wash.

Isaac Bonton as the Cougs guard scored 20 points, including 18 in the second half, to spark the offense. The Cougs Seattle natives took over in their home city with
CJ Elleby scoring 21 to lead the way while freshman
Noah Williams came up with 15 including a pair of clutch free throws to seal the win with :05 seconds remaining.
BONTON BACK
After missing three games due to injury, guard

The return extended Bonton's double-digit scoring streak to 15 games including all 13 Pac-12 contests the junior has played in.
