T&F Picks Up Multiple Wins at Idaho

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Washington State University Track and Field program saw four total individual victories Friday afternoon at the Idaho Team Challenge as Jordyn Tucker, Kaili Keefe, RayRay Wells Jr., and Max English led the way for the Cougars.

Jordyn Tucker led WSU in the 60-meter dash this afternoon, earning the victory with a time of 7.61 seconds. Washington State continued its winning ways across the border with a win in the 800-meter run, as Kaili Keefe posted a time of 2:12.95 to take first place overall. Chrisshnay Brown posted a third place finish in the shot put with a mark of 46-feet 2 3/4 inches (14.09m), and Kaylee Sowle also went on to claim third overall in the high jump at 5-feet 3 3/4 inches (1.62m) as well. Faimalie Sale turned in a second place performance in the weight throw with a mark of 56-feet 4 1/2 inches (17.18m), just short of her overall PR.

RayRay Wells Jr. sprinted past the competition at the Idaho Team Challenge in the 60-meter dash, winning the event with a time of 6.68 seconds overall. Fellow Coug Ja'Maun Charles was right behind Wells to take second place overall with a PR of 6.74 as well. Charles also saw an impressive debut in the long jump event as he posted a PR of 21-feet 11 3/4 inches (6.70m). Max English notched another victory for Washington State, as he took first overall in the high jump with a mark of 6-feet 7-inches (2.01m). Sam Griffith anchored the men's distance squad at Idaho with a third place finish in the mile with a time of 4:18.03 as well.
