OPENING FIVE
> The Cougs dropped their first Pac-12 game Thursday against USC. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for WSU.
> WSU closes out a 7-game homestand Saturday against UCLA. The Cougs look for their first win since 2016 against the Bruins who are coming off of a win over Washington Thursday night at Seattle.
> Tony Miller has been one of the Cougs most reliable players over the last month averaging 9.5 ppg and 4.0 rpg in the last 8 contests. He tallied a 15 pt, 11 rbd, double-double against USC, his first double-double at WSU. He had 16 at Seattle Pacific. 
> WSU ranks 8th nationally in turnover per game (10.6) and 6th in turnover margin (6.1). WSU turns the ball over just 14.8% of its possessions (6th best in the nation).
> Injuries have been a problem as WSU is without Deion James (season) and Marvin Cannon (4-6 wks) long term while Jaylen Shead has missed three-straight games and Jeff Pollard missed most of the USC game after suffering a facial injury 5 min in.

GAME INFORMATION - VS UCLA
The Cougs wrap-up a 7-game homestand with UCLA Saturday. The Bruins have controlled the all-time series 108-17 and have won the last five. WSU looks to snap the streak and win for the first time since 2016. UCLA enters having upset Washington at Seattle Thursday night to begin Pac-12 play after losing three-straight to close out December. The Bruins are led by Chris Smith at 11.5 ppg and Cody Riley at 10.1 ppg. Offensively, UCLA ranks 62nd in offensive efficiency scoring 105.7 points per 100 possessions thanks in large part to their offensive rebounding grabbing 38.1% of their misses (6th best in the nation).

Isaac Bonton scored 18 points and Tony Miller had 15 points and 11 rebounds for WSU. CJ Elleby, the Cougars leading scorer who averaged 20.1 points per game, was held to nine points on 3-of-22 shooting. This was the first time this season Elleby has not scored in double figures. The Cougs posted both a season low in points and shooting percentage.

Overall, the Cougs have held their opponents to almost three points under the national average (100.0) in points per 100 possessions at 97.4 (ranking 114th). WSU ranks 34th in turning opponents over 23.3% of their possessions while allowing teams to grab just 24.7% of offensive rebounds (ranking 55th overall).
