OPENING FIVE
> The Cougs look to salvage a split on the road when they head to Salt Lake City to take on the Utes where WSU has one once before. Utah has won 11-straight in the series.
> WSU dropped its opener on the road trip in Boulder, 78-56, as the #23 Buffs pulled away in the final 10 minutes. The Cougs are 1-4 in true road games on the year.
> CJ Elleby was named Pac-12 POW for the first time in his career Monday. He is the first Coug underclassmen to win the award since Klay Thompson in 2009. He would post 15 points and 5 rebounds at Colorado.
> Isaac Bonton put together a historic performance against OSU going for 34 pts, 8 rbds, 8 assts, the first Pac-12 player to go 30-8-8 since STATS started its database in 1997. The 34 pts ranks tied for 32nd all-time in WSU history. He went for 10 points and 7 assists at Colorado.
> WSU ranks 24th nationally in turnover per game (11.3) and 13th in turnover margin (4.5). WSU turns the ball over just 15.8% of its possessions (16th best in the nation).

GAME INFORMATION - AT UTAH
WSU closes the weekend at Utah where the Cougs have yet to take a game at the Huntsman Center going 0-10 since 1969. All-time the Cougs are 1-17 at Salt Lake City with the only win coming on Dec. 14, 1946 (33-32). The Utes have won 11-straight with the last Coug win coming on Jan. 12, 2014 (49-46) at Pullman. The Utes have lost four of five coming into the weekend but defeated Washington, 67-66, Thursday for their second Pac-12 win. Utah is ranked 62nd in offensive efficiency at 107.7 pp100 while shooting 52.1% effective FG%. Riley Battin led the way with 17 points against the Huskies doubling his season average. Timmy Allen leads the team offensively at 19.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

LAST TIME OUT
#23 COLORADO 78 - WSU 56 | Jan. 23, 2020 | Boulder, Colo.

A battle through 30 minutes the Cougs ran out of gas in what would be the fourth quarter of the game as Colorado turned a four-point game with 10 minutes to go into a 22-point victory despite CJ Elleby scoring 15 and Daron Henson chipping in 13 off the bench. The Cougs suffered their ninth-straight loss at Boulder as the Buffs won for the second-straight time in the series.

SHOOTING PICKING UP
After struggling early in the year the Cougars' shooters are beginning to gel and find their stroke leading to a 3-4 record in Pac-12 play. In the last five games, the Cougs have shot 42.8% (116-271) overall and 40.7% (46-113) from deep.
Isaac Bonton has been a major difference shooting 41.1% (23-56) overall and 52.2% (12-23) from deep in the past five game, averaging 16.2 ppg. He has also dished out 29 assists, 5.9 per game.
