PULLMAN, WASH. - Washington State opened the season hosting a relay meet against Nevada, San Diego State and Idaho at Gibb Pool Friday night.
WSU saw all eleven newcomers made their Cougar debuts and finished third as a team after recording five third-place finishes out of the ten events.
"The girls came out with great energy as the meet started and I liked how the girls competed against the top two teams in the Mountain West," head coach Matt Leach said. "We need to continue to get better every day, and keep working on the little things and come ready to compete Saturday."
The Cougars host the Wolfpack Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gibb Pool.
