OPENING XI
> Washington State enters the game 5-1-0 on the year with three shutouts.
> After suffering its first loss of the year Friday the Cougars rebounded with a 2-1 win over LMU Sunday afternoon.
> The Michigan loss snapped an 11-match non-conference winning streak and a 16-match unbeaten streak dating back to 2017. However, in the last three seasons the Cougs are 17-2-2 in non-conference play.
> The Cougars are a perfect 6-0-0 against Hawai'i all-time including 3-0-0 in Honolulu, the last two meetings being 3-1 wins. The two have not met since 2014.
> The Cougars enter the week ranked #24 United Soccer Coaches Poll, falling 11 spots with their loss to Michigan. In the other major polls WSU sits at #11 by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
> Coach Shulenberger won his 50th career contest Sunday versus LMU.
> Nine different Cougars have scored on the year with Morgan Weaver leading the way with five goals.
> WSU is ranked #5 in the nation in scoring of offense at 3.30 goals per game (20 total).
> Morgan Weaver, named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List to start the year, is tied for third all-time in program history in scoring with 33 goals and fifth in points with 74.
> Brianna Alger and Elyse Bennett are tied for is 20th in the nation in assists per game at 0.67 (4 total). WSU is #4 overall in assists per contest at 3.50 (21 total).
> Ella Dederick enters the game with 42 career victories, two shy of tying the all-time record of 44 held by Gurveen Clair (2011-14). Dederick has recorded 2.5 shutouts on the year with just 4 goals against.

LAST TIME OUT
Bouncing back at home, WSU closed out play at its own Cougar Classic with a 2-1 win over Loyola Marymount Sunday afternoon at Lower Soccer Field. The Cougs scored a pair of first half goals with strikes in the 3' and the 21' to rebound from their first loss of the year Friday night. Morgan Weaver got the scoring started before Elyse Bennett finished things off with her second goal of the year. WSU outshot its opponent for the sixth time on the season while firing off 26 shots, tying a season-high set against Montana in the home opener.

SHULENBERGER WINS #50 
Having established his Cougars as one of the elite teams in the country, head coach Todd Shulenberger came up with some of his own career recognition as the fifth-year coach hit the 50 win milestone Sunday, Sept. 15 against LMU. Shulenberger picked up his milestone victory in his 87th contest giving him an impressive .615 winning percentage.
Shulenberger's first win came on Aug. 21, 2015 against Seattle U (3-1).

THE GREATEST SHOW ON "TURF"
In just six games the 2019 Cougars have proven to have one of the most potent offenses in the country as WSU enters the week #5 in scoring offense, averaging 3.30 goals per game. Using a wide ranging attack, the Cougars have had nine different players hit the back of the net to score their 20 goals (one own goal). The Cougs have scored in myriad of ways scoring including but not limited to five off of corners, three on crosses, and three from the spot.
With all the goals being scored it's no surprise the Cougs are #4 in assists per game at 3.50 (21 total) led by Brianna Algers' and Elyse Bennett's four each.
