SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Washington State University women's rowing junior
Ivy Elling Quaintance has been named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team, the conference office announced Tuesday.
A native of Sidney, British Columbia, Elling Quaintance concluded her third year as a member of the Washington State varsity rowing team in 2019. She started her career rowing with the second varsity eight as a freshman and has been a part of the varsity eight crew the last two seasons. The seven-seat for the varsity eight, Elling Quaintance helped her crew to the Fawley Cup with a win over Gonzaga in the annual regatta. She helped guide the Cougars to 14th at both the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Championships.
A sport science major, Elling Quaintance is a two-time CRCA Scholar-Athlete and Pac-12 All-Academic honoree.
Members of the All-Conference rowing teams are based upon each institution's finish in the Varsity 8 race at the Pac-12 Championships, which were held on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. The Conference champion provides four members of the All-Conference team, the second-place crew provides three members, and the third-place finisher provides two. All other participating crews receive one selection each.
