Odiorne Finishes in Top-20 at the Silverado Showdown

SILICON VALLEY, Calif. – The Washington State women's golf team moved up two places on the final day of the Silverado Showdown co-hosted by Colorado and Oregon. The Cougars carded an overall score of 917(+53) through the three rounds after carding their best score, 300(+12) on the final day of the tournament. The tournament featured numerous top-25 teams, including No. 16 Northwestern who won the tournament with an 870(+6) through three days of action.

Leading the way for the Cougars, senior Madison Odiorne finished in the top-20, moving up seven places after carding a one-over, 73, in the final round of play. The Bend, Ore. native finished tied for 19th overall with Sara Kjelker of No. 43 San Diego State, Marie Herraez Galvez of No. 45 California, and No. 88 Chayanit Wangmahaporn of No. 40 Iowa State. Odiorne put together six birdies and 36 pars to boost her overall score to a 10-over, 226.

Behind Odiorne, junior Marie Lund-Hansen finished the tournament in the top-35, carding a two-over, 74, on the final day of action. Lund-Hansen's efforts on the third day moved her up three spots in the final standing, tying for 34th with multiple competitors. The Denmark native put together 39 pars through action.

Individually, No. 80 Brooke Riley of Northwestern took home to tournament title, carding an overall one-under, 215, through the three rounds.

Up next for the Cougars is the Pac-12 Championships, which are set to take place Apr. 15 – 17 in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
